Join us for the Third Annual Queer Austin Bike Tour on May 2, 2026! This year’s tour will explore sites of queer organizing throughout Austin’s history, from the meeting places that shaped our earliest LGBTQIA+ organizations to the bookstores and informal spaces that brought us together for physical and intellectual connection. We hope to honor the legacy of LGBTQIA+ spaces and people we’ve lost and bring attention to those still at risk.
Tour Details
- The tour is an approximately 4-mile adventure through the city, celebrating Austin’s most beloved LGBTQIA+ spaces, landmarks, and stories—led by some of our favorite architects, historians, and friends! The tour will last approximately two and a half hours, with forty minutes of total bike time and roughly 15 minutes at each stop.
- The tour is BYO Bike, but if you do not own a bike we recommend renting one from a MetroBike station. Please remember to wear your helmets, bring water, and observe all traffic laws.
- $15 registration fee which includes a T-shirt! All sales are final, and the ride is rain or shine. Spaces are limited so register today! Shirt sizes are being collection on the registration form.
- Need a ride? We are organizing a vehicle to transport those unable to bike from stop to stop. If you have any specific accessibility needs, please let us know (within the registration form) and we will adapt accordingly.
We will meet at Cosmic Saltillo before the ride for breakfast and coffee, and then make our way north, ending at The 1972 Pub for a post-tour happy hour! As usual, you’ll be able to pop your bike on a rapid bus line to return to our starting point.
