Design Talks comprises five luncheons each year. Originally planned at Austin Central Library, these events will now be taking place virtually via Zoom webinar from 12:00-1:00pm.

As the built environment faces new challenges and opportunities, how will design adapt to become more responsive? Lance Hosey, FAIA, LEED Fellow. Principal, Design Director, Firmwide Co-Leader for Sustainable Design, Gensler, will discuss how to integrate sustainable design strategies, adaptive reuse, and resilience into concept design.

About the presenter
Acclaimed architect, author, and public speaker, Lance Hosey, FAIA, is principal, design director, and co-director of sustainable design at Gensler.
Hosey holds two degrees in architecture, from Columbia and Yale, and has authored two books as well as published hundreds of essays on design for publications like The New York Times, the Washington Post, and many more. Winning multiple awards for his work, Hosey became one of 30 people worldwide to be named a Fellow with both the AIA and the US Green Building Council in 2015.
