About the Tour:
This is a renovation of a 1971 building into a multi-tenant creative office that prioritizes wellness and sets a precedent for greenscapes in urban areas. By replacing limestone, turrets and front parking with high performance thermo-spruce cladding, skylights, windows, an elevator with glass walkway and ‘front yard’ the re-imagined building is all about experience and accessibility.
Reusing the slab, wall and roof frame, ensured time and money was saved through a site plan exemption. Once the limestone turrets at three points of the triangle footprint were removed those points were fully utilized on both floors with a large conference room with 12ft window walls. By reprogramming the front of the building away from parking and adding in an accessible front yard amenity the user experience was improved and precedence was set on the street by offering greenery.
