SUMMARY:WiA Book Club 03 // Places of the Heart: The Psychogeography of Everyday Life by Colin Ellard
DESCRIPTION:Join Us for AIA Austin WiA’s Book Club! \nAIA Austin WiA third and last read of this year will be Places of the Heart: The Psychogeography of Everyday Life by Colin Ellard is a compelling exploration into how the spaces we inhabit—our homes\, workplaces\, cities\, and nature—shape our emotions\, thoughts\, and bodily responses. Merging scientific research with personal narrative and historical context\, this book invites readers to reconsider the role of place in our well-being and to shape environments with intention and insight.  Book club led by Mai Addo \nWe’ll meet every other Thursday via Zoom for ~45 minutes to chat and share insights. \nPlease sign up here to receive the Zoom link \n•    Our first session will kick off on Thursday\, August 14 at 7pm\, and continue biweekly. \n📖 August 14 – Introduction + Chapters 1–2 \n📖 August 28 – Chapters 3–4 \n📖 Sept 11 – Chapters 5–6 \n📖 Sept 25 – Chapters 7–End + Wrap-Up
