Come for the resources\, stay for the camaraderie. The AIA Austin office at 801 W 12th street hosts a study group on Wednesdays from 6pm – 7:30pm to study for the ARE 5.0 exams. Our study group also communicates via Discord. DESCRIPTION:Advocacy Roundtable // Shade Trees & Sidewalks: Expanding Austin’s Network\nAustin aims to increase citywide tree canopy to 50% by 2050\, but current policy only requires street trees on less than 5% of Austin’s streets from private development. Even these are often omitted due to regulatory obstacles or competing utilities. How can we prioritize street trees and improve where people walk\, bike and wait for transit?
