SUMMARY:LGBTQIA+ Alliance Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Hi Friends\, we are gathering at a different location this month\, Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches – 3220 Manor Rd\, Austin\, TX 78723. \nWe’ll have a call for volunteers for subcommittee positions\, highlight events that happened in the last month\, and talk about future events. \nWhile our committee meetings can be planning heavy\, they are also for connecting with and supporting each other as queer professionals\, commiserating over a tough legislative session\, and finding ways we can extend our hands to the queer community beyond the architecture profession. Intersectional activism is the only way forward – we are stronger together and all of our individual stories are linked. \nThis week has been tough for queer Texans as HB229 and HB779 passed out of the house.\nHug your friends\, check-in on each other\, and please reach out to your representatives to tell them how you feel about the plethora of anti-LGBTQIA+ bills filed this legislative session.
