AIA \nPriding himself on his background of delivering large\, complex projects from the beginning of design through construction completion\, Scott Campbell’s background consists of numerous noteworthy large-scale Athletic Training Facilities\, as well as a strong foundation in mixed-use\, hospitality and retail developments. As a technical designer at Gensler\, Scott’s primary focus has been on developing Athletic Facilities for The University of Texas at Austin – accounting for over $250 million in completed projects across campus to date. DESCRIPTION:ARE 5.0 Study Group + DISCUSSION\nThe AIA Austin office at 801 W 12th street hosts a study group on Wednesdays from 6pm – 7:30pm to study for the ARE 5.0 exams. Once every other month the study group will have either a guest speaker or a guided work through an exam question. Our study group also communicates via Discord. Join our study group this week to learn about the process from Marquesa Figueroa\, an Architect on the NCARB Examination Committee. \nRefreshments Provided. \nMarquesa’s Bio: \n“As a Senior Designer and Architect at Gensler\, Marquesa is deliberate in her design decisions\, ensuring alignment between concept and detail throughout the entire project. From building massing to interior design\, her innovative approach is shaped through close collaboration with partners and consultants. \nHer passion for architecture extends to professional service through Architectural Youth Programs\, Women in Sports\, AIA\, the Texas Society of Architects\, and volunteer work with the Texas School for the Blind. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our first committee meeting of the year where we’ll review our committee goals and events for the year. We’ll also make mini vision boards! \nOur mission is to provide an opportunity for discussion and growth for young architectural professionals as they work towards licensure\, along with relevant resources for continued development after registration.
