DESCRIPTION:ARE 5.0 Study Group\nAre you on your path to licensure? Do you need accountability buddies? Our doors are open! Come study individually or bring a group of colleagues and study together. Come for the resources\, stay for the camaraderie. The AIA Austin office at 801 W 12th street hosts a study group on Wednesdays from 6pm – 7:30pm to study for the ARE 5.0 exams. Our study group also communicates via Discord. Please email brianna_deleon@gensler.com and cc aia.austin.ep@gmail.com for questions and inquiries.\n\n\n\n\nOnce every other month the study group will have either a guest speaker or a guided work through an exam question. This will be accompanied by Food and Drink. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening in the Garden as the UMLAUF further highlights the installations of Design Shine 2025 with presentations and discussions from the four winning architect/designer teams! \nCreated to showcase emerging talent in the fields of architecture and design\, Design Shine 2025 resulted in four extraordinary installations from four local teams. Situated amidst Charles Umlauf’s sculptures\, the 2025 Design Shine installations reinvigorate the visitor’s experience with captivating\, family-friendly sculptural art works. \nInstallations include: \nLumina Obscura by Joshua Hummingbird\, Tooba Jalal\, Sanika Malvankar\, Nandita Warrier\, Paria Taheri\, John Lewchuk\, and David Caballero\nMirrored Glow by Rohaan Saripella\nSylvan Lightscape by Emerald Smith and Sarah Grossman\nUrban Roosts by Grant Wilson\, Josh Sollars\, and Alex McKenzie \nFree and open to the public. \nDoors open at 6pm. \nPresentations at 6:30pm\, Q&A to follow. \n \n\nOur mission is to provide an opportunity for discussion and growth for young architectural professionals as they work towards licensure\, along with relevant resources for continued development after registration.
