Members of the team from Lake Flato & Acton Partners will share insights into the design process and highlight the integration of architectural\, structural\, and mechanical systems. The session will also focus on the building envelope\, with discussion of detailing\, field execution\, and the commissioning process. DESCRIPTION:Come join Austin Energy’s Stephanie Perrone and Heidi Kasper to discuss the newly implemented Austin Energy Passive Building Incentive. \nAustin Energy Passive Building Incentive \nAustin Energy is testing a new incentive to help address the critical need for sustainable\, affordable housing in Central Texas. Participants can earn incentives for affordable multifamily projects that obtain certification from Phius. Research shows that Phius projects are more durable and resilient\, reduce energy loads\, improve indoor air quality and produce quieter environments. These benefits come from a tighter building envelope and more rigorous design strategies.
