DESCRIPTION:Advocacy Roundtable // Shade Trees & Sidewalks: Expanding Austin’s Network\nAustin aims to increase citywide tree canopy to 50% by 2050\, but current policy only requires street trees on less than 5% of Austin’s streets from private development. Even these are often omitted due to regulatory obstacles or competing utilities. How can we prioritize street trees and improve where people walk\, bike and wait for transit?
