DESCRIPTION:The Austin Public Library is turning 100 — and we need our community to imagine how to celebrate this milestone. \nJoin Austin Public Library and Design Austin for a hands-on Community Workshop to brainstorm ideas for a centennial art installation. You will collaborate in facilitated groups to imagine a memorable display rooted in Austin’s creative culture that reflects 100 years of community and inspires the next generation. Concepts generated will be reviewed by Austin Public Library stakeholders to inform the final installation. All are welcome! \nThe workshop will be in the Den Room on the 6th Floor. \nRecommended for ages 10 and up. Children should be able to participate in a collaborative discussion setting.

DESCRIPTION:Join Us for AIA Austin WiA’s Book Club! \nUnreasonable Hospitality: The Remarkable Power of Giving People More Than They Expect by Will Guidara is a book about transforming ordinary service into extraordinary experiences by anticipating and exceeding customer expectations.
