DESCRIPTION:Join Us for AIA Austin WiA’s Book Club! \nAIA Austin WiA third and last read of this year will be Places of the Heart: The Psychogeography of Everyday Life by Colin Ellard is a compelling exploration into how the spaces we inhabit—our homes\, workplaces\, cities\, and nature—shape our emotions\, thoughts\, and bodily responses. Drawing from neuroscience and environmental psychology\, Ellard illustrates how design elements in places like parks\, churches\, casinos\, or shopping malls trigger feelings ranging from awe and relaxation to anxiety and temptation.
