DESCRIPTION:Join us for a tour of the recently renovated Hogg Memorial Auditorium at the University of Texas at Austin led by McKinney York Architects\, Jacobs Engineering\, and SpawGlass. Originally opened in 1933\, the updated venue preserves its Art Deco character while improving accessibility\, acoustics\, and building systems. \nThe project earned LEED Platinum certification in 2023 and an Austin Green Award and a Preservation Austin Award in 2024. Project team members will guide us through the revitalized spaces—including envelope improvements\, lobby transformation\, auditorium restoration\, and excavated mechanical basement expansion. The hour long tour will be followed by happy hour at Crown & Anchor. \n$10. Spaces are limited and registration is required. 1 LU/HSW.
