Next up in our series is Cotton Estes, AIA who will share more about her work with developer Assets & Architects to bring Missing Middle Housing to San Antonio’s historic Dignowity Hill as an alternative to the rapidly emerging large apartment complexes.
Their project, Botton Commons, is a 15-unit complex that offers a variety of rental housing options including a freestanding single-family home, duplexes, and co-living suites to help bring together a vibrant and diverse group of residents, where a sense of community is fostered by the design of both public and private outdoor areas and where private quarters are paired with generous living areas. Through its thoughtful design, Boston Commons helps realize a space that can improve both physical and social quality of life, prioritizes the public realm and exemplifies the principles of urbanism.
