Join us on October 24th for a happy hour, and an advocacy talk and performance by our local drag stars Alexander the Great and Brigitte Bandit! The second event in our QTOPIA series explores queer futures in Austin by hearing Alexander the Great and Brigitte Bandit speak about their work on the City of Austin’s LGBTQIA+ Quality of Life Advisory Commission.

What is the LGBTQ+ Quality of Life Advisory Commission?
The Commission is an advisory body to the city council regarding issues actually or potentially affecting persons within the LGBTQIA+ community or the community as a whole. Members of the commission recommend public policy measures designed to enhance the health, well-being, and opportunity for the LGBTQIA+ community in Austin.
