Jury Conversations

Part of the AIA Austin 2024 Design Awards program, Jury Conversations is a live, moderated presentation with our Design Awards jurors. The Women in Architecture Committee is co-hosting this event in recognition of the all-female jury this year. In addition, a silent art auction will be held in collaboration with NOMAS of UT Austin.

The conversation will be moderated by Jes Deaver, AIA

Jes Deaver is a partner at Nick Deaver Jes Deaver architecture where she practices residential design. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas and a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston. Her writing is published in Texas Architect Magazine and AIA Young Architects Connections Magazine with her most recent articles exploring how the future, ecology, and built environment connect us to one another. She is a member of the AIA Austin Design Awards Committee.

NOMAs Art Auction

The NOMAS chapter at UT Austin will be collaborating by holding a student art auction . Physical and digital art pieces created by students from the UT School of Architecture art will be on display in a silent auction open to all attendees. All proceeds will go to benefit the NOMAs chapter.

National Organization of Minority Architecture Students [NOMAS] is the student chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects. It strives to enhance education and professional networking as well as engage solutions to ensure a healthy living and working environment for the community at large.
