This presentation will explore the early work of the Mexican architect Luis Barragán, his contact with the architectural and artistic avant-garde in his travels, and how he tried to integrate their ideas into architectural trends in Mexico.

Luis E. Carranza is Professor at Roger Williams University, an adjunct associate professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and Visiting Professor at Yale University’s School of Architecture.
