Last Fall, ULI convened a six-person Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) to look at Strategies for Encouraging Less Vehicular Transportation and Parking in Downtown Developments. This TAP was sponsored by City of Austin Transportation and Public Works Department, the office of City Council Member Natasha Harper-Madison, and the office of City Council Member Zo Qadri, with input from the Austin Transit Partnership, Cap Metro, and the Downtown Austin Alliance. In forming their recommendations, the panel interviewed 44 stakeholders over 3 days, including
public employees, civic organizations, transit advocates, developers, owners, brokers, financiers, architects, consultants, neighborhood groups, nature conservancies, academics, non-profits, and economic development folks. David Carroll, TAP chair, will share the resulting recommendations and discuss which actions the city has already taken. Bring your lunch and join us! This event is free and open to all with registration
