Join the AAH, Page and McCarthy for a site tour of the new Texas Children’s Hospital (North Austin). Designed entirely during COVID and constructed in the 2.5 years following, this AEGB 3-star, brand new, greenfield hospital campus is a jewel of North Austin. Offering critical pediatric and women’s services care to a rapidly expanding population demographic, the new facility will open in Q1 2024 with a “Trauma II” care level. The Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH), an AIA knowledge community, provides knowledge which supports the design of healthy environments by creating education and networking opportunities for members of – and those touched by – the healthcare architectural profession. Committee programming is typically held the third Friday of each month at 11:30 a.m. (programming will be announced).
